SRDC is pleased to once again be connected to SCORE, to add to the resources we can provide to existing companies and those looking to start a small business.
SCORE’s mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. SCORE provides free, expert mentoring and educational resources to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.
SRDC Executive Director Bob Flint has completed the training to become a SCORE Volunteer. Other SRDC staff are also in the process. Bob will promote SCORE and refer small businesses to SCORE as appropriate. While he will meet with small business owners in his role as an economic development officer, he will not serve as a SCORE mentor. However, he is available to co-mentor with our SCORE mentors.
SRDC also continues to partner closely with the Vermont Small Business Development Center and our local counselor, Scott Holson, as well as Apex Accelerator, with Ed Williams based in our office. It’s all part of being the one-stop shop for all of our region’s business needs, from the person starting a company to the largest employers in the area.
