Bob has served as the Executive Director of SRDC since 2005. During that time, he has been involved in several projects including the remediation and redevelopment of the One Hundred River Street property, the successful sale and redevelopment of the North Springfield Fellows Gear Shaper facility and the construction of Blake Hill Preserves and Vermont Farmstead Cheese in Windsor. Bob is the Past-President and current Treasurer of the Regional Development Corporations of Vermont, the Chair of the River Valley Technical Center Board as well as other local, regional and statewide boards, including the Vermont Aviation Advisory Council and Clean Water Board.
Prior to SRDC, Bob was the Executive Vice-President of the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce for 7 ½ years. During his time at the Chamber, Bob was elected to 3 terms as the President of the Vermont Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and served 2 terms on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. He also worked in broadcasting for 20 years, including 14 years as the Operations Manager/Program Director of WCFR Radio in Springfield. Flint has a B.S. (Telecommunications Management) from Syracuse University and was selected to participate in the 2001 Class of the Vermont Leadership Institute through the Snelling Center for Government.
Heather Hartford is the Assistant Director at SRDC and has been with us since 2014. She has overseen the construction of the Blake Hill Preserves facility in Windsor as well as operations and renovations for the Robert S. Jones Center and the former Bryant Grinder property.
Prior to joining SRDC, Heather worked in Massachusetts as a successful girls’ lacrosse coach as well as establishing a widely-known club lacrosse program. She continues her involvement with that passion by serving as the Head Girls Lacrosse at Hartford (VT) High School as well as the owner of Mach 1 Lacrosse.
Heather is a native of Springfield, a mother of 3, and a current Weathersfield resident. Her father founded All Seasons Construction, one of the original members of SRDC.
Paul Kowalski first served SRDC as a member of its board of directors. He came on board the SRDC staff in 2012 after a decade in bank branch management in Springfield, bringing his knowledge of our service area and extensive business contacts to his role as a project manager. Paul spent nearly four years managing SRDC’s role as co-administrator of several rounds of HUD-funded disaster recovery grants (CDBG-DR) to area businesses still suffering from the effects of Tropical Storm Irene. For the past three years, he has worked on several projects centered in Windsor, Vermont, and coming full circle, Paul’s experience as a banker has been brought to bear in evaluating business loan applications for the revolving loan funds that SRDC is either associated with or advises on. He attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, and lives in Plymouth, Vermont with his family.
Sandy has been the Office Manager at SRDC since 2014. She is a Vermont Notary Public and completed the Leadership Southeast Vermont program as a member of the Class of 2017. Previously, Sandy taught in an elementary school for thirty-three years. She was on various committees and District Initiatives during her tenure, including Grade-Level Chair.
