Executive Director

Bob has served as the Executive Director of SRDC since 2005. During that time, he has been involved in several projects including the remediation and redevelopment of the One Hundred River Street property, the successful sale and redevelopment of the North Springfield Fellows Gear Shaper facility and the construction of Blake Hill Preserves and Vermont Farmstead Cheese in Windsor. Bob is the Past-President and current Treasurer of the Regional Development Corporations of Vermont, the Chair of the River Valley Technical Center Board as well as other local, regional and statewide boards, including the Vermont Aviation Advisory Council and Clean Water Board.

Prior to SRDC, Bob was the Executive Vice-President of the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce for 7 ½ years. During his time at the Chamber, Bob was elected to 3 terms as the President of the Vermont Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and served 2 terms on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. He also worked in broadcasting for 20 years, including 14 years as the Operations Manager/Program Director of WCFR Radio in Springfield. Flint has a B.S. (Telecommunications Management) from Syracuse University and was selected to participate in the 2001 Class of the Vermont Leadership Institute through the Snelling Center for Government.

Assistant Director

Heather Hartford is the Assistant Director at SRDC and has been with us since 2014. She has overseen the construction of the Blake Hill Preserves facility in Windsor as well as operations and renovations for the Robert S. Jones Center and the former Bryant Grinder property.

Prior to joining SRDC, Heather worked in Massachusetts as a successful girls’ lacrosse coach as well as establishing a widely-known club lacrosse program. She continues her involvement with that passion by serving as the Head Girls Lacrosse at Hartford (VT) High School as well as the owner of Mach 1 Lacrosse.

Heather is a native of Springfield, a mother of 3, and a current Weathersfield resident. Her father founded All Seasons Construction, one of the original members of SRDC.

Sandy Clifford

Sandy Clifford

Office Manager

Sandy has been the Office Manager at SRDC since 2014. She is a Vermont Notary Public and completed the Leadership Southeast Vermont program as a member of the Class of 2017. Previously, Sandy taught in an elementary school for thirty-three years. She was on various committees and District Initiatives during her tenure, including Grade-Level Chair. Sandy is a graduate of Trinity College.

Amanda Sidler

WCC Coordinator/Business Navigator

Amanda grew up in Perkinsville, VT, and attended Springfield High School. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2015 after studying History and Biology. She worked in veterinary medicine for a number of years before making the career change to Community and Economic Development.

She joined SRDC in the fall of 2020 to serve as the Business Navigator for the Restart Vermont Technical Assistance Program. Currently, her role focuses on Workforce Development, and she is the Working Communities Challenge Coordinator for the Springfield Region.

She currently lives in Springfield with her husband, dog, and (too many) cats.
