River Valley Tech Center – www.rvtc.org – The River Valley Technical Center (RVTC) offers an education that prepares students to be career and college ready. Students learn technical skills in their program areas, employability skills that prepare them for the workplace, and academic skills including math, reading, and writing, science, or social studies. RVTC affords high school students and adults the chance to learn these skills through practical, hands-on experience so they are better prepared to take advantage of further learning and career opportunities.
Community College of Vermont – www.ccv.edu – The area branch of the Community College of Vermont (CCV) is housed in the Howard Dean Education Center in Springfield. CCV s Vermont’s second largest college, serving over 5,000 students each semester. Through the CCV location and extensive online learning options, students can access our degree and certificate programs, workforce, secondary and continuing education opportunities, and academic and veterans support services.
Vermont Department of Labor – www.labor.vermont.gov – The Vermont Department of Labor assists employers with job creation, retention and recruitment, coordinates the education and training of the workforce, ensures safe work environments, administers support and reemployment assistance to workers who suffer a job loss or workplace injury, and provides labor market information and analysis
Vermont Training Program – www.accd.vermont.gov/economic-development/funding-incentives/vtp -The Vermont Training Partnership (VTP) partners with employers and training providers to prepare Vermont’s employees for the jobs of tomorrow. VTP provides performance-based workforce grants for pre-employment training, training for new hires, and training for incumbent workers. This training can either be on-site or offered through an outside provider. VTP grants may cover up to 50% of the training cost.
